Born in 1997 "Jak" is 15.1 1/2 hand bay Arabian stallion. His front cannon bone circumference is an amazing 8.5 inches! His girth measures 74 inches. His pedigree includes a combination of Russian, Crabbet and Polish bloodlines. He is a bay with 4 white stockings and a beautiful blaze. Jak has great conformation, straight legs, a nice short back, strong hindquarters. He has begun his dressage career and is scoring 8's on his movement/gaits and in the 70's on his tests (in training and first level). In 2004 He received a US National TOP 10 in 1st AND 2nd Level Dressage. Click HERE for judges comments. In Open competition Jak is doing extremely well. He has been Top 5 or better in his first 5 open competitions. He also was awarded the USDF All Breeds Award in Training Level and was awarded with a Reserve Championship and many TOP 5's for The US Equestrian Year End Points (Halter, Dressage, ect). Jak is starting the 2004 season off on the right "hoof", he was recently named CHAMPION Sport Horse Stallion at Scottsdale. It was tough competition in a class of 19 other stallions! He went on to win Champion in Both Region III and Region II. Jak is an IAHA nominated sire. He is also approved with the American Warmblood Society. He is BLUE PREFERRED. Only 4% of all AWS can satisfy the requirements to be an approved stallion. The inspector remarked," I have never seen a horse more elastic and supple in all of my 8 yrs inspecting for AWS." We are pleased to announce the arrival of his first foal, a colt! (out of Joshas Moriah) see pictures of his first day of life on the 2003 foals page. This colt is a looker! He looks like dad and he's inherited Jak's great personality. And with the movement he inherited from dad, should be a great competitor in the dressage and show hack arena. We have 2 of our own foals by Jak this year. Jak was bred to Classica VC (a First Class daughter), whom has already foaled. and also IIWP Black Beauty (*Explodent daughter out of a Port Bask daughter). If you are interested in either foal please contact us. We would like to thank Whispering Oaks Arabians for providing us with these two gorgeous mares! I recommend Jak to mare owners who are interested in endurance and sport horse disciplines. Mare owners interested in reining or working western offspring should also consider Jak for their mares. He is a very versatile horse that shows potential in the working Western disciplines, Country English Pleasure, Show Hack and Jumping (he has shown a strong desire to jump), yet he is pretty enough to Halter. Jak also has plenty of hock action for the English enthusiasts. Jak has been tested SCID clear. We also offer a mare lease program. Buy a breeding to Jak and we will locate a mare for you to breed to him. Please e-mail for more info regarding the mare lease program (receive 25% off his stud fee).
